This Comp Cams 12-407-8 SBC XR252HR Xtreme Energy Retro-Fit Hydraulic Roller Camshaft fits the 262-400 Small Block Chevy from 1958-1998. Comp designed this cam for street/strip use, and it is good for mileage and towing with a smooth idle. A 9.5:1 or higher compression ratio, lower rear end gears and a 1200+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
