This Comp Cams 31-601-5 SBF 279TH7 Thumpr Hydraulic Flat Tappet Camshaft fits the 221-302 Small Block Ford from 1963-1995. Comp designed this cam for high performance street/strip use, and it features good low-end torque and a choppy/thumping idle. A 9.0:1 or higher compression ratio, gears and a 2400+ stall speed torque converter are highly recommended.
